To participate in Upcomers challenges, you need to connect a Bybit demo account to your Upcomers account. This guide provides a step-by-step process to create a Bybit sub-account, configure the demo trading environment, generate API keys, and establish the connection with Upcomers. Following these steps ensures a seamless setup and avoids configuration issues.

1) Register or log in to your Bybit account at https://www.bybit.com/en/. After registration, you might be asked to complete verification. Please note that, based on current Bybit policies, users participating in Demo trading only do not need to complete verification.

Ensure you complete the pop-up step to receive your demo funds (e.g. 100,000 USDT demo balance) before proceeding.

2) After registration or login, click on the user icon in the top right corner and select Switch/Create Account.

3) Now you can create a new Subaccount. Each phase of the trading challenge requires its own Subaccount!

4) In this step, you will create your new Subaccount. We recommend using a name that helps you keep your accounts organized. However, the choice is entirely yours.

5) After successful creation of your new Subaccount, switch into this Subaccount.

6) Click on Tools → Demo Trading in the top menu.

Once again, ensure you have clicked the pop-up to receive your demo funds (e.g. 100,000 USDT demo balance) before proceeding.

7) After you open the Demo Trading app, click on your Subaccount icon and then select API.

8) Once you enter the API Management page (https://www.bybit.com/app/user/api-management), click on Create New Key.

9) Select System-generated API Keys.

10) This is a very important step. Make sure the API key permissions are set to Read-Write with No IP restriction. Further down the page, check both Unified Trading and Assets. Finally, click on Submit.

With these settings, we are able to adjust your initial balance and prepare your trading account.

Additionally, ensure that the demo balance setup is completed correctly to avoid syncing issues.

11) Now you have the API Key and the Secret API Key. You will need both keys in order to link your Bybit account with the Upcomers challenge account.

12) Go back to the Upcomers Dashboard and click on the Configure Account button.

13) The last step is to copy the API Key and Secret API Key from your Bybit account and paste them into the correct fields. Once you have entered both keys, click on Save configuration. Your Bybit trading challenge account will be prepared shortly.
