Affiliate Program FAQ

The questions you have. The answers most programs won't give you.

Getting started

Do I need to trade to become an affiliate?

No. The Affiliate Program is its own infrastructure. You need a verified Upcomers account with KYC completed. That's the entire list. You don't need to have bought a challenge. You don't need to have passed one. Your trading history is irrelevant to your affiliate economics.

How long does KYC take?

Usually minutes. Occasionally longer when something needs a manual look. You'll find it in your dashboard under Account Settings.

Is there a cost to join?

Zero. No enrollment fee. No subscription. No tier you have to pay into. You join, you share, you earn.

Can I join from any country?

Almost. The only exceptions are countries on our Restricted Countries list, the same list that applies to trading accounts. If you're not on it, you're eligible.

Codes and referrals

Can I use my own code on my own purchases?

No. Self-referral is blocked at the system level. Any attempt to circumvent it is grounds for suspension.

Can I have more than one code?

Yes. One default code is generated automatically the moment you enroll. On top of that, you can create Custom Codes with your own name, your brand, or anything you want traders to associate with you.

Are Custom Codes unique?

Yes. First come, first served across the entire platform. If someone already took the Custom Code you wanted, pick another.

Do codes expire?

No. Once your code is yours, it's yours for as long as your affiliate account stays in good standing.

Do codes work on every product?

By default, yes. Challenges, instant funding, every eligible product on the platform. If a specific promotion has different rules, those rules are always displayed at checkout.

How does attribution actually work? Is there a cookie window?

No cookies. No tracking pixels. No 30-day attribution windows. Upcomers uses code-based attribution.

The customer applies your code at checkout. That's the trigger. That's the only trigger. No code at checkout means no commission, even if they watched your video, clicked your link, and followed you on three platforms.

Why this matters: attribution is transparent, works across every device, survives ad blockers, and cannot be stolen by last-click schemes that plague traditional affiliate networks. The tradeoff: your customer has to remember the code. So remind them. Put it in your captions, your pinned comments, your bio, your outro. Every time.

Commissions

When do I earn my first commission?

The moment your customer completes their first order with your code. The commission is generated instantly and enters the 30-day clearance window. After that, it's yours to withdraw.

Why didn't I earn a commission on a customer who clearly used my code?

Almost always the first-order rule.

A customer only generates commissions if their very first order on the Upcomers platform used an affiliate code. Any affiliate code. If they found Upcomers organically, bought a challenge without a code, and later came to you, they're permanently ineligible. Forever. For anyone.

This is the most important strategic insight in the entire program. Get your code into people's hands before they discover Upcomers on their own. The moment someone learns about us, the clock has started.

What happens to my commission if a customer gets a refund?

It reverses. If the commission is still in the 30-day clearance window, it's removed cleanly. If it already cleared and you withdrew it, we deduct the amount from future commissions or request repayment.

Do I still earn if my customer uses a different affiliate's code

next time?

On that specific order, no. Attribution is per order, not per customer. Whoever's code was used wins that commission. But your Reward Split on their funded payouts stays with you, because that's tied to the original order that brought them to the platform.

Do I earn from Breakout, Control, or Rebirth?

Direct commissions on the purchases, yes. Reward Splits, no. Those programs use Fixed Research Incentives instead of standard funded-trader payouts, and Reward Splits don't apply to that structure.

Are commission rates the same globally?

Yes. Identical in every country. Every amount is calculated in USD regardless of where your customer is located or what currency they paid in.

Reward splits

Why 0% on the first three payouts?

Because we pay for traders who stay, not traders who cash out and disappear. If your referral makes it to their fourth payout, you've brought us a real trader. That's the person we want to reward you for.

Does the Reward Split come out of my trader's pocket?

No. Your trader receives their full payout. Every dollar of it. The Reward Split is paid by Upcomers separately, from our side, on top of what they've already earned.

Your trader wins. You win. Nobody loses. This is the single detail most affiliate programs get wrong, and the one every thoughtful trader appreciates about ours.

What if my trader buys something later through a different affiliate's code?

That next purchase commission goes to the other affiliate. But the Reward Split on their existing funded account stays with you. Forever. Reward Splits are tied to the original order that brought the trader to Upcomers, not the most recent code they used.

How long do Reward Splits keep paying?

For as long as your trader keeps withdrawing profits. Rates scale down with each payout: 15% on the 4th, 5% on the 5th, 3% on the 6th, and 1% on the 7th and beyond. No expiration. Our strongest traders stay funded for years. So does your income.

Network and bonuses

How do network bonuses unlock?

Two thresholds at the same time: 50 completed orders from Eligible Customers and 30 unique Eligible Customers. The moment you hit both, network bonuses unlock. Permanently.

Can I change my parent affiliate?

No. Parent relationships are set at enrollment and cannot be changed, transferred, or reassigned. If you entered someone's code when you signed up, you're under them for life. If you didn't, you're at the top level. Forever.

I didn't enter a parent code when I signed up. Can I add one now?

No. Parent attribution happens at enrollment only. If you skipped it, you stay unaffiliated. That just means nobody is earning bonuses on your activity, which works out fine on your end.

What if my parent affiliate gets suspended or leaves?

Your account is untouched. Your commissions keep flowing. Your network position stays preserved. The only thing that changes is that the suspended affiliate stops earning new bonuses from your activity.

What's the $500 recruitment bonus?

When one of your direct L1 sub-affiliates unlocks their own network bonuses (50 orders, 30 customers), you receive a one-time $500 bonus. Paid on top of the ongoing network commissions you're already earning from their customers.

It's our way of rewarding you for bringing in serious affiliates, not casual drop-ins.

Payouts and fees

When can I withdraw?

The moment a commission clears the 30-day holding period. Once the status flips to Available, it's yours to move.

Is there a minimum?

No. Any cleared balance, any time.

What methods are available?

Bank transfer, USDT on Tron (TRC20), and USDC on Ethereum (ERC20). Current fees and processing times are always shown in your dashboard before you confirm a withdrawal.

Do I pay taxes on commissions?

Yes, but we don't withhold or file on your behalf. Reporting your commission income is your responsibility in whatever jurisdiction you're resident in. Your full history is available in the Affiliate Portal whenever your accountant needs it.

Promotion and content

Where can I share my code?

Anywhere legal. YouTube, Discord, Telegram, X, Instagram, newsletters, podcasts, communities, personal recommendations. Just follow the platform's rules wherever you post.

Can I run paid ads?

Yes, with boundaries. Don't bid on Upcomers trademarks. Don't impersonate official Upcomers channels. Don't create websites, landing pages, or domains that could be mistaken for our own. Bidding on generic trading keywords is fine.

Can I promise guaranteed profits or specific earnings?

No. Unsubstantiated earnings claims and guarantees of trading success violate our Affiliate Terms and can result in immediate suspension. The numbers already work. You don't need to inflate them.

Do I need to disclose I'm an affiliate?

Wherever your local law requires it, yes. In the US, FTC rules require clear disclosure. Similar rules exist across Europe and in most developed markets.

Account and suspension

What actions get affiliates suspended?

Self-referral. Creating multiple affiliate accounts. Fake purchases or coordinated purchasing to generate commissions. Impersonating Upcomers. Mass spam. Fabricated earnings claims. If you're running your activity honestly, none of this is on your radar.

If I get suspended, do I lose what I've already earned?

It depends. Commissions unrelated to the violation typically remain payable. If the suspension involves fraud or misconduct directly tied to specific commissions, those commissions can be reduced, withheld, or reversed.

Can I leave the program voluntarily?

Yes. Email [email protected] and request withdrawal. Already-earned commissions continue through the normal clearance and withdrawal process. New commissions stop generating from the date you leave.

Can I reopen my account later?

Case by case. If you've previously left and want to come back, just reach out..

Edge cases

What if my customer pays in crypto?

Commission structure is identical regardless of payment method. All amounts are calculated in USD based on the order value.

What if a customer orders, gets refunded, then orders again with my code?

The second order is a new completed order and generates commission normally, provided attribution rules are met. First-order eligibility is based on lifetime order history, so a refunded first order doesn't reset anything.

What if two affiliates share a community and want to split referrals?

You can't split a single order between two codes. Attribution follows whichever code was used at checkout. If you and another affiliate want to collaborate, agree on how you'll rotate codes before the customer reaches checkout.

Can I sell or transfer my affiliate account?

No. Affiliate accounts, codes, and dashboard access are personal, non-transferable, and non-assignable. Selling or renting your account is grounds for immediate termination.

Key things to remember

  • Your code is permanent and tied to you personally

  • Your customer's first-ever order decides affiliate eligibility for life, get your code out early

  • Network bonuses unlock at 50 orders plus 30 customers, both at once

  • Reward Splits start at payout four and are paid by us, not the trader

  • 30-day clearance. No minimum withdrawal. Taxes are yours.

  • Attribution is through the code at checkout, not links or cookies
