DXtrade onboarding: the CME market data agreement (dxFeed)

The short answer

Before you can see live prices on DXtrade, you complete a quick one-time onboarding for market data, run by DXtrade's data provider, dxFeed. Start it from your Upcomers dashboard, choose Non-Professional, fill in your details, accept the agreements, and submit.

Your subscription activates within a few minutes and your live data switches on. You only do this once.

Why this step exists

Your Upcomers futures account is simulated, but the prices on it are real, live CME market data.

The exchange requires every person who receives its live data to be a registered market data subscriber. dxFeed handles that registration for DXtrade, which is why you complete a short data feed subscription before your prices go live. This is completely normal. Every DXtrade futures trader does it once, and it is separate from your KYC verification.

Step 1: Start onboarding from your dashboard

In your Upcomers dashboard you will see a DxFeed market data card that says "Complete your dxFeed onboarding to start receiving live market data." Click Start Onboarding.

Step 2: Choose your subscriber status (pick Non-Professional)

dxFeed opens a page titled "Data feed subscription: Choose your subscriber status." You will see two buttons: I am Non-Professional and I am Professional.

Choose "I am Non-Professional." This is the correct status for an individual trading their own account. Almost every Upcomers trader is Non-Professional.

Choose Professional only if: you are a registered market professional, you trade on behalf of a financial firm, or you are a member or employee of an exchange.

Clicking a status is a self-certification. You are confirming your status and agreeing to tell dxFeed if it ever changes.

Step 3: Enter your details and accept the agreements

Next you fill in a short personal information form. dxFeed needs this to register you with the exchange, so use true and accurate details that match your identity.

The form asks for:

  • First name and Last name

  • Country and State

  • Address, City, and Zip

  • Phone

  • Job title and Official employer name

Then tick the three boxes to accept:

  • the dxFeed Subscriber Services Agreement (marked required reading)

  • the CME Group Market Data Subscription Agreement

  • the Privacy Policy

Click Submit. By submitting you confirm the information on the page is correct.

Step 4: Wait for your subscription to activate

After you submit, your dashboard shows DxFeed subscription processing: "Your dxFeed subscription is being set up. This can take a few minutes. Refresh the page to check whether it's active."

Give it a few minutes, then refresh. Once it is active, live market data streams into DXtrade. You can see quotes, the DOM, and charts, and you can trade.

Do I have to do this again?

No. It is a one-time step.

The same registration carries across your accounts, so you do not repeat it when you buy or reset an account. On later logins DXtrade simply checks that your subscription is active and takes you to your workspace.

My prices are not showing

If your quotes look frozen or empty right after your first login, your dxFeed subscription is most likely not active yet.

Open your dashboard, confirm you completed the onboarding to the end and submitted, wait a few minutes for activation, and refresh. If live data still does not appear, contact Upcomers support through live chat, the help center, or at [email protected], and mention that your dxFeed market data subscription is not active.
