Prohibited Practices on Upcomers Prediction Markets

What is not allowed on Prediction Markets accounts and the consequences.

Upcomers Prediction Markets are simulated evaluation accounts. You trade binary YES/NO questions on real-world events, and your job is to show skill under real rules. To keep the playing field fair for everyone, some practices are strictly off limits.

This article lists what is prohibited on our Prediction Markets. Read it before you place a single order. If you avoid everything below, you never have to think about it again.

Market Abuse and Automation

Anything that games the market itself, its pricing, its data, or its speed, rather than trading it on merit:

  • Platform manipulation of any kind

  • Exploiting feed errors

  • Exploiting delayed or incorrect settlement data

  • Manipulating low-liquidity markets

  • Latency abuse

  • Scraping

  • Bots, scripts, and HFT-style automation without approval

  • Trading based on technical or platform errors

Multi-Account and Coordinated Trading

One trader, one edge. Splitting activity across accounts or coordinating with others to dodge limits is not allowed:

  • Mirrored strategies across multiple accounts

  • Account sharing

  • Duplicate accounts used to bypass product limits

  • Coordinated trading between multiple users

Unfair Information and Conflicts of Interest

Your position must be based on public information and honest analysis, never on an inside advantage:

  • Trading on material non-public, confidential, leaked, or stolen information

  • Trading on privileged access or illegal tips

  • Trading markets where you are directly involved in the event, employed by or connected to an involved party, or able to influence the outcome

Reverse Hedging

Reverse hedging across YES and NO outcomes is prohibited. Taking offsetting positions on both sides of the same question to manufacture a guaranteed or risk-free result is not real trading, and it does not count.

What Happens If You Break These Rules

If any of the practices above are detected, Upcomers may:

  • Exclude the related profit

  • Reject the payout request

  • Terminate the account

These steps are applied according to the Terms and Conditions.

General Rules Notice

These Prediction Markets rules apply in addition to Upcomers standard policies. Like all Upcomers programs, this product is subject to our framework on prohibited strategies and our guidelines on responsible trading and gambling-style behavior, both of which apply across all our challenges, funded accounts, and products.

We recommend reviewing both articles before you begin trading:

Trade on merit. That is the only edge we reward.
