During all challenge phases - 1, 2, or 3, you're free to trade news without any restrictions.

In funded account (which includes the funded phase of a challenge or an instant account), it is not allowed to trade during high impact news releases. This time starts 5 minutes before the scheduled news and lasts for 5 minutes after.

This rule is to help traders during times when news can make the market very unstable.

High impact news means events like important economic or political announcements that could really shake up the market, such as decisions from central banks or major political events.

Here's what you are not allowed to do during this no-trading period:

  • Open new trades (Market Execution/Limit orders).

  • Close trades (Market Execution/Limit orders).

  • Set stop-loss or take-profit orders.

  • Use buy stop or sell stop orders.

If you try to set a stop-loss or take-profit order during this time, and it gets executed in the 10 minutes window around the news (5 minutes before and 5 minutes after), any profit you make might get taken away from your account.

All non-targeted instruments can be traded without any restrictions.
