The Short Answer
Upcomers Futures offers three programs: Thunderbolt Classic (a one-step evaluation), Vanguard (instant funding) and Horizon (a one-step evaluation with no Best Day Rule). Compare their targets, drawdown limits and payout requirements below. Platform and account-size availability are shown at checkout.
Thunderbolt Classic
Thunderbolt Classic is a one-step evaluation. Reach the 6% target while meeting the account rules to qualify for funding. There is no minimum number of challenge trading days.
Profit target: 6%. On a $50K account that is $3,000 in profit to clear the evaluation.
Minimum trading days: as few as 1 in the challenge, thanks to the one-day pass. On the funded account you need 3 trading days before each payout, each with at least 0.5% profit ($250 on a $50K account). Accounts purchased before October 29, 2026 have no minimum trading days on the funded account.
Trailing drawdown: 4% End-of-Day (EOD). The floor sits 4% below your highest closing balance and is recalculated once a day at the 5:00 PM ET rollover, so open profit never drags it up. On a $50K account it starts $2,000 below your starting balance.
Daily drawdown: 3% during the challenge, 2% once funded, reset at 5:00 PM ET. A $50,000 funded reset value gives a $1,000 daily allowance; later allowances depend on the value at reset.
Holding: not through the daily break or over the weekend. Every open position closes automatically at 4:50 PM ET (3:50 PM CT).
Account sizes: up to $400K.
Vanguard (Instant Funding)
Instant funding. There is no challenge and no target to clear first: you start on a funded account and follow the funded rules from your first trade.
Profit target: none. You are funded from day one.
Trailing drawdown: End-of-Day (EOD), with limits based on account size: 4% on $25K, $50K and $100K; 3.5% on $150K; 3% on $200K, $300K and $400K. On a $50K account, the initial floor is $48,000.
Daily drawdown: no daily limit on $25K; 2.5% on $50K and $100K; 2% on $150K and larger accounts. Where applicable, it resets at 5:00 PM ET. The initial daily allowance on $50K is $1,250.
Holding: not through the daily break or over the weekend. Every open position closes automatically at 4:50 PM ET (3:50 PM CT).
Minimum trading days: none. Instead, you need at least 6% profit since your last payout to request a payout.
Account sizes: up to $400K.
Horizon
A one-step evaluation with no challenge consistency rule and no funded Best Day Rule. Profit targets and qualifying trading-day requirements still apply.
Profit target: 6%. On a $50K account that is $3,000.
Minimum trading days: 2 in the challenge and 5 on the funded account, each with at least 0.5% profit.
Consistency: no Best Day Rule in the challenge or funded phase.
Trailing drawdown: 4% End-of-Day (EOD), recalculated once a day at the 5:00 PM ET rollover.
Daily drawdown: 3% during the challenge, 2% once funded, reset at 5:00 PM ET.
Max Trade Loss: the funded realized-loss limit is 1.5%. Other phase-specific risk controls apply during the challenge.
Holding: not through the daily break or over the weekend. Every open position closes automatically at 4:50 PM ET (3:50 PM CT).
Payouts: on demand, with at least 3% profit since your last payout. Fixed 80% profit split.
Account sizes: $25K to $400K.

What every program shares
Whichever program you choose, the funded rules below are the same across all three, except where the table above notes a difference.
Profit split: Thunderbolt Classic and Vanguard offer 80%, 90% (default) or 100% at checkout; the selected option affects the purchase price. Horizon has a fixed 80% split. Use the split assigned to your account.
Trailing drawdown: the EOD floor follows your highest closing balance, moves only upward and locks at your initial balance when reached. Open profit does not raise it during the session, but live equity is checked against the active floor. See the trailing drawdown guide for the calculation and examples.
Max Trade Loss: funded Thunderbolt Classic, Vanguard and Horizon accounts have a 1.5% realized trade-loss limit. Breaching it can end the account. Challenge-phase open-position and other risk controls remain separate; use the rules assigned to your account. See Max Trade Loss.
Best Day Rule: a SOFT rule on Thunderbolt Classic and Vanguard. No single trading day may be more than 35% of your total profit since your last payout on Thunderbolt Classic (20% on accounts purchased before October 29, 2026), or more than 20% on Vanguard. It does NOT breach your account, it only holds your payout until your profit is spread more evenly. Example: if your total profit since your last payout is $5,000, your best day must be $1,750 or less on Thunderbolt Classic (35%) and $1,000 or less on Vanguard (20%). Horizon has no Best Day Rule on the funded account.
Payout conditions: Thunderbolt Classic requires 1% profit and 3 qualifying days per payout segment; Vanguard requires 6% profit and no minimum days; Horizon requires 3% profit and 5 qualifying days. A qualifying day earns at least 0.5% of initial balance. Classic accounts purchased before October 29, 2026 retain no funded minimum days. The account-profit request minimum is $50 before the assigned split. Positions must be closed and every other requirement met; see payout conditions.
Inactivity: an account is closed automatically after 14 calendar days with no trading. The counter starts at purchase and resets every time you close a trade, and you get a warning email before the account expires.
